HP Printer Messages

Apparently with a little Perl script one can change the ready message on HP Printers. I have to try this.  My favorite was when he made the “Ready” message screen read  “Insert Coin”. Classic. Apparently few people noticed. Also Classic.

The more elaborate version which pulls weather data and displays it on the printer’s screen looks almost useful. Few questioned the presence of weather information on their printer screen. Feature desensitization anyone?
